Move Over, Ventus, These Fujikura Shafts Are It

What if there were a Fujikura shaft that was not only lightweight but overall optimized for a fast swing speed?

Not that the shaft is designed for a swing speed that’s already fast – as is the case with the crowd to which the Fujikura Ventus Black caters – but to help players swing faster?

That’s just what the Air Speeder line does. Let the Ventus shirk the spotlight just once. These Fujikura shafts have been newly redesigned for 2025 and are back with a vengeance.

Why the Air Speeder Series Has Earned Its Place

While the Fujikura Air Speeder line is nothing new, Fujikura has re-imagined the line and rereleased it in 2025.

Fortunately, they’re still made with all of the features and technology that made the Air Speeder great in the first place.

This includes both Maximum Carbon Fiber Content and a Phantium Finish, both of which lighten weight. In the former case, the maximum fiber content strengthens, stiffens, and stabilizes the shaft.

But don’t take that the wrong way – as they’ve always been, the new-for-2025 Air Speeder shafts are exceptionally active and sensitive, with a medium midsection and soft handle and tip sections.

They’re lightweight, too; weighing between only 46g and 50.5g; they are among the lightest-swinging golf shafts on the market.

These extremely sensitive and active shafts, which are very lightweight, are perfect for players with slightly slower swing speeds that need a little boost from their equipment. The Fujikura Air Speeder line is ready to sign that ticket.

As you might expect, shafts in the Air Speeder line have low kick points and produce high launch and spin characteristics across the board, making them perfect for those that need to boost carry distance.

The higher launch profile sends the ball higher; with a lower clubhead speed, this is just what’s needed to wring out a few extra yards from a slower swing speed.

Lift is the same way. As the ball spins backwards, the dimples on its surface generate lift, giving the ball a bit of ability to float there just a bit longer, carrying it farther.

And then of course there is the weight of these shafts. As light as they are, they help even the most inexperienced players with the slowest swing speeds generate just a few more MPH of clubhead speed for better energy transfer, higher speeds off the tee, and greater carry distance.

So who should swing one of these Fujikura shafts?

Who Should Swing an Air Speeder?

Thinking about getting one of these Fujikura shafts? Here’s who should be swinging one:

  • Beginners who have not yet hit their stride.
  • Senior players that are seeing their swing speeds lag a little bit.
  • Those who are looking for a really light and sensitive club.
  • Anyone that appreciates a high-launch and spin shaft.
  • Anyone else with a slow swing speed that needs an extra bit of boost.

If any of these conditions apply to you, work with a fitter to determine if a Fujikura Air Speeder is right for you.

Still thinking a Fujikura Air Speeder is right for you? Got a light club that you want to add a light, fast-swinging shaft to? Make sure you work with a fitter to find the right version and length for you.

A fitter will take your measurements, observe your swing, and work with you to determine just which version of the Air Speeder is right for you – or if some other shaft would make a better match. Buying a golf shaft is like buying a jacket; you have to make sure it fits first.
