What You Need to Know Before You Get a European Travel Adaptor

Traveling to Europe? You’re probably bringing along personal electronic devices like cell phones and laptops, right? You might even be bringing along other electronics like hair dryers and personal accessories.

Don’t forget a European travel adapter before you go, or you won’t be able to use them once you get to the hotel room!

European Countries Don’t Use the Same Type of Outlets We Use.
First things first, America predominantly uses two styles of outlets. These are the familiar two-pronged Type A outlets and the three-pronged Type B outlets, which are also used widely in Canada and Mexico. (Type A outlets are also sometimes found in Japan).European countries do not use these styles of outlets.

European Countries Don’t Even All Use the Same Outlets As Each Other!
Worse, all European countries don’t even use the same outlets as one another!

Type C outlets, with two round prongs, are fairly common in some European countries – but not all of them.

Type E outlets, with three round prongs, are common in Slovakia, France, Poland, and Belgium. Denmark uses a special type of three-pronged outlet known as a Type K. Liechtenstein and Switzerland use another odd-looking three-prong outlet called a Type J. In-line three-pronged Type L outlets are occasionally found in Italy. If you go to the United Kingdom or Ireland, be prepared to come across a three-prong outlet with flat prongs known as a Type G.

Otherwise, many other countries in Europe also use a two-prong outlet called a Type F.

What The Ceptics European Travel Adapter Offers
If you’re looking for a European Travel Adapter, getting one that’s compatible with the outlets in your country of destination is imperative. Otherwise, go with one that covers several different outlet types.

Consider the Ceptics PAK-EU European Travel Adapter Kit that is compatible with Types C, E, F, and G outlet styles and can charge up to 4 devices at once. It’s specifically compatible with outlets in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, and the Type C outlets found elsewhere in much of Europe.

It also features an LED indicator (one light indicates 110V and two indicate 220V service) and two USB ports (USB-A and USB-C) which are perfect for charging tablets, iPhones, iPads, and other electronic devices quickly. It also features a dual American outlet.

The design is smart and light, and the connections are fully grounded from input to output, making the adapter safe and secure. It’s CE-certified and RoHS-Compliant for peace of mind.

If you travel to Europe, it’ll probably be the last European travel adapter you’ll ever need. For more information on the different countries with which its adapters are compatible, please visit Ceptics.com via the previous link. You can also get in touch with their customer service team if you have additional questions, at 1-877-260-1301.

It’s designed in the U.S.A., is a light and compact European plug adapter (1.93”x1.6”x2.18”, making it easy to pack!), and is covered by a 2-year warranty!

Europe Uses Different Voltage Service
Please note, in the United States, we mostly use 110V service. In Europe and much of the rest of the world, their power supply is delivered at 220V. Plugging in a 110V-rated device into a 220V outlet can cause the device to draw too much current, in which case it will overheat and burn out prematurely.

The Ceptics PAK-EU European Travel Adapter Kit does not convert voltage, so please make sure to get an appropriate voltage converter before you travel.
