What Is PG?

What Is VG?
VG, or vegetable glycerin, is the other of the two common ingredients in vape liquids, and like PG, is “Generally Recognized as Safe.” VG is commonly used in foods and other consumer goods such as candles and soaps.
Like PG, is a syrupy liquid produced from the oils of some plants, such as soybean or palm oil. Like PG, it is also colorless and odorless, but it is thicker than PG and also slightly sweet.
Its purpose is also to carry nicotine and flavoring, although it is not as effective at carrying nicotine or flavorings in a vape juice blend, which is why PG is necessary for the blend.
The higher the VG concentration, the less flavor will be produced, and the more irritating the throat hit of the nicotine will be. However, VG is highly effective at producing big, thick clouds.
VG concentrations in vape liquids typically range from 0% (some liquids contain none) to as high as 90% in some e-liquids that produce smooth throat hits and massive vapor production.
